FOOD HYGIENE CERTIFICATE EXPIRY

Based on guidance from the Food Standards Agency, there is no stated food hygiene certificate expiry date on our Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering course.  The validity of the certificate, whilst indefinite from our point of view, will depend on the body to whom the certificate is being submitted.

It is however recommended that food handlers refresh their knowledge every 3 years if certificates are used for local authority food handler compliance.  Other organisations may stipulate annual training completion and therefore workers may be required to take the course every year.

We retain copies of learner certificates for a 3 year period.
